Tender description

NHS England has a statutory requirement to hear the views of patients and consider them in the development and commissioning of services. Commissioners are required to engage with patients to understand the quality of services being provided, prior to services changes and to inform procurement activities (13Q). During 2025/26 there will be a number of procurements for a range of health and justice services in the East of England. It is expected that the new providers for the services being tendered will be in place by 1st April 2026. The upcoming procurements offer a unique opportunity to ensure the patient voice and lived experience are at the heart of service procurement, by engaging a lived experience organisation to be involved at each stage of the processes. Additionally, it will provide people with lived experience of the criminal justice system a valuable opportunity to gain skills and prepare for future employment.
