The Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department is commissioning an external provider to deliver Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic assessments for children and young people aged 5 to 18 in Jersey. The service will provide fully online diagnostic assessments that meet recognised clinical standards, including NICE, DSM 5 and ICD 11. It will form part of the Island’s wider neurodevelopmental pathway and operate in line with local safeguarding, data protection and clinical governance requirements. The provider will be responsible for delivering high quality assessments, producing diagnostic reports and recommendations, and supplying regular performance and activity data. The service must be designed to be accessible to children and families and easy to use. The key outcomes expected from this procurement are to: • increase the number of ASD assessments completed within each contract year • reduce the average waiting time for assessment and diagnosis • improve accessibility for families through online delivery option • ensure assessments meet recognised diagnostic and reporting standards • deliver a reliable and auditable data set to support service monitoring and planning This procurement seeks a clinically robust, technology enabled solution that increases diagnostic capacity and provides a consistent, evidence based service for children and young people in Jersey.
