Where required supplier will work from a DSIT hub location in line with DSIT Hybrid working policy. So there is a need to utilise a variety of data and digital solutions to manage crucial projects like the Gigabit Progamme, and the Voucher Scheme facilitating access to broadband for residents. These digital tools require ongoing maintenance, support and development to function effectively. The summary of work pertains to support to manage these solutions such as Evaluation App, data ingestion on core data services for Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy, Urban Vouchers, Data Backbone, Gigabit Broadband Availability Checker, etc. To provide draw-down resource for these services and digital projects which ensures continued functionality and avoids disruption to critical services in addition to Production support and maintenance, upgrade-as-a-service for vouchers solution built on Pega. These solutions are essential for managing projects such as: Gigabit Programme: This initiative aims to expand access to high-speed internet in underserved areas. Digital platforms support key activities including mapping coverage, managing supplier applications, and tracking delivery progress. Voucher Scheme: This scheme enables residents to access vouchers for broadband installation. The supporting systems handle application processing, eligibility checks, and in some cases payment workflows. Shared Rural Network (SRN): SRN is a major programme focused on improving mobile coverage in rural areas. Digital solutions play a vital role in monitoring coverage improvements, managing supplier commitments, and reporting progress against targets. These solutions require continuous attention to remain effective and resilient : Business-as-Usual (BAU): Routine operational tasks are essential to keep existing systems running smoothly. This includes providing technical assistance to teams who rely on these tools daily. Maintenance: Over time, software can develop bugs or become outdated. Regular maintenance ensures issues are resolved promptly, systems are updated, and performance remains optimal. Proactive monitoring helps identify and address potential problems before they impact service. Development: As BDUK’s programmes evolve and user needs change, solutions must adapt. Ongoing development enables new features, integration with emerging technologies, and alignment with future requirements. The business problem you need to solve This procurement is necessary to ensure that BDUK Digital, Data and Technology function retains the resource balance and expertise to support our existing technology solutions, with some capacity for small to medium enhancements that are likely to be required by BDUK programmes from March 2026 until March 2028.
