Materials Testing System Lot 1: A Table Mounted Materials Testing System is designed to test the mechanical properties of materials—like tensile strength, compression strength, flexural behaviour, or hardness. It is used to evaluate how materials behave under different loads. Having the axial and torsional axes coupled in one frame is essential for this research: it eliminates inter-machine variability, avoids alignment and fixturing inconsistencies that would arise from chaining separate instruments, ensures synchronized control and common metrology for traceable results, and preserves the integrity of combined-load failure and characterization tests.
