Research exploring the implementation of Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) in Scotland.It is anticipated that this will include: carrying out a mapping exercise to understand current and past MCoC activity; establishing criteria for the selection of case studies; producing in-depth case studies (covering 3-6 Board/units, this is expected to involve interviews with midwifery leads and/or service managers and focus groups with midwives delivering MCoC); carrying out in-depth research to explore the delivery of MCoC for specific groups (this is expected to involve carrying out interviews with midwives delivering specialised MCoC, stakeholders working with specific target groups and women who have received specialised MCoC for at least part of their maternity care); carrying out thematic analysis focused on process evaluation themes; producing outputs for publication on the gov.scot website.See attached order form for further detail on the requirement.
