Tender description

Cardiff University, Main Building, Cathays Park, is constructed in Portland stone and is Grade II* listed. The building was built to house the former College of South Wales (founded in 1883), which became one of the founding institution of the University of Wales, Cardiff University. This building is used for various functions as part of the University campus, and as such now requires some sympathetic accessibility upgrades to ensure it is fit for purpose.The work comprises the removal of the existing non-compliant ramps and construction of new compliant ramps to areas of Cardiff University Main Building, which is listed;1. Ground Floor VJ Gallery (1nr),2. First Floor Central Corridor South of Central Library (2nr)
