TC01412 - THE PROVISION OF TEMPORARY WORKERS TO UNDERTAKE WAREHOUSING DUTIES AT THE HARWICH INTERNATIONAL PORT STATUTORY EXAMINATION AREA

Tender description

Harwich International Port Ltd requires the provision of temporary workers to perform warehousing duties at the Ports statutory examination facility. The warehousing duties comprise of but are not limited to: • Handball (unloading and reloading trailers and containers). • Small forklift (<9t) work. • Tractor driving. HIP work on behalf of the cargo agent to present goods for examination by any interested Government or statutory agency controlling the throughput of cargo at the UK Border. The work involves regular, repetitive manual labour, with the use of forklifts or pallet trucks to assist and short distance movement of trailers (‘shunts’) to and from the examination bays and parking bays. The Procurement Act 2023 regulations apply and suppliers and their Associated Persons will need to be registered on the Central Digital Platform.
