Tender description
Harwich International Port Ltd requires the provision of temporary workers to perform warehousing duties at the Ports statutory examination facility. The warehousing duties comprise of but are not limited to: • Handball (unloading and reloading trailers and containers). • Small forklift (<9t) work. • Tractor driving. HIP work on behalf of the cargo agent to present goods for examination by any interested Government or statutory agency controlling the throughput of cargo at the UK Border. The work involves regular, repetitive manual labour, with the use of forklifts or pallet trucks to assist and short distance movement of trailers (‘shunts’) to and from the examination bays and parking bays. The Procurement Act 2023 regulations apply and suppliers and their Associated Persons will need to be registered on the Central Digital Platform. Suppliers who express an interest will be required to complete and pass conditions of participation. These must be completed and submitted by the date detailed in Deadline for requests to participate. The Purchaser will undertake a financial assessment of the suppliers financial standing undertaken by the Purchasers Finance Department on an obtained finance report. Suppliers must pass this financial assessment as well as the conditions of participation.
