Refurbishment of Traditional Wooden Sash Windows

Tender description

There are 27 traditional wooden sash windows, one small wooden sash window in the sacristy and two panes of glass required. Regarding the traditional wooden sash windows, the works include: • Careful removal of sashes where necessary, • Overhaul and repair of boxes, cords, pulleys, weights, and ironmongery, • Repair or splicing of decayed timber using matching timber species, • Reglazing and draught proofing where appropriate, • Painting and finishing, • Protection of adjacent finishes and fittings, • Full reinstatement on completion.
