The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh requires High level Senior Executive Head Hunting recruitment Service with International reach. Lot 1: The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a Senior Executive search partner with significant experience in conducting wide international searches to attract high performing individuals operating at Senior Executive level and with the range of skills outlined in the tender document. The objective is to lead in the recruitment search for the next Regius Keeper and secure recruitment by end 2025. The Regius Keeper of RBGE holds an internationally prestigious and influential position as the leader of one of the world's most respected botanical and horticultural institutions at the forefront of tackling biodiversity loss and the global climate emergency. The appointment requires approval from HM The King on the recommendation of the First Minister of Scotland. This role encompasses a very broad spectrum of executive leadership responsibilities extending well beyond those of a conventional public sector accountable officer. In addition to requiring significant leadership experience in the management of the financial, human, digital and physical resources of the four gardens and their 300+ staff, the Regius Keeper is responsible for significant commercial income generation, the stewardship of the National Botanical Collection which is one of the world’s richest and most valuable collections of living and preserved plants, and oversight of scientific research, biodiversity conservation, education and public engagement programmes that span 80 – 100 countries.
