Tender description

The Employer requires to have the following works provided: Lot 1: Construction of the St Peter Strategic Storage Tank. The Scope of Works includes design, supply, delivery (including any necessary Jersey import taxes/duties), construction and testing, as necessary to Provide the Works including, but not limited to the following: • Design and construction of a new 25m internal diameter buried concrete storage tank of nominal working capacity of 6,100m3, for the storage of combined storm overflows of surface water and sewage. • Construction of new overflow chamber adjacent to the storage tank. • Diversion of the existing combined sewer in La Rue des Fosses, within private land and within the Airport to the new overflow chamber and construction of new connecting inlet and outlet pipework between the overflow chamber and the new tank including manholes and chambers. • Access roads, hardstanding, electrical kiosk, landscaping and fencing of the site at the storage tank location. • Design and installation/construction of all necessary temporary works and any changes to the permanent works required by the Contractor’s methods of construction. Lot 2: Construction of the Maufant Strategic Storage Tank. The Scope of Works includes design, supply, delivery (including any necessary Jersey import taxes/duties), construction and testing, as necessary to Provide the Works including, but not limited to the following: • Design and construction of a new 20m internal diameter buried concrete storage tank of nominal working capacity of 1,650m3, for the storage of combined storm overflows of surface water and sewage. • Construction of new overflow chamber adjacent to the storage tank. • Diversion of the existing combined sewer to the new overflow chamber and construction of new connecting inlet and outlet pipework between the overflow chamber and the new tank including manholes and chambers. • Access roads, hardstanding, electrical kiosk, landscaping and fencing of the site at the storage tank location. • Design and installation/construction of all necessary temporary works and any changes to the permanent works required by the Contractor’s methods of construction. Lot 3: Construction of the St Peter & Maufant Strategic Storage Tanks (as a combined contract). The Procurement opportunity is presented as a single Procurement Event. Tenderers have the opportunity to tender for: • Lot 1 and / or; • Lot 2 and / or; • Lot 3. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contracts for Lot 1 and Lot 2 to two separate Tenderers, or award a combined contract for Lot 3 to a single Tenderer.
