DLEARN - Provision of parent research as part of the programme of evaluation for the expansion of early learning and childcare

Scottish Government Children and Families Analysis Unit and Early Learning and Childcare Division, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wish to commission a survey of parents and carers of children under the age of 6 in Scotland, and additional qualitative research with a sub-sample of parents and carers. This is as part of a wider programme of evaluation of the expansion of the early learning and childcare (ELC) entitlement to 1,140 hours. Lot 1: Scottish Government Children and Families Analysis Unit and Early Learning and Childcare Division, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wish to commission a survey of parents and carers of children under the age of 6 in Scotland, and additional qualitative research with a sub-sample of parents and carers. This is as part of a wider programme of evaluation of the expansion of the early learning and childcare (ELC) entitlement to 1,140 hours. The overarching aim of this research is to provide up to date information on parents’ and carers’ use of, and views about, funded ELC. The proposed research will provide a final report and accessible summary, the findings of which will be disseminated within Scottish Government as well as published on the Scottish Government website.
