Award of Project for Refurbishment Works for PAC at the Thomas Graham Building (2024-25)

Tender description

The University is seeking to appoint a contractor to undertake a project for refurbishment works for Pure & Applied Chemistry (PAC), which includes, however, is not limited to the refurbishment of existing laboratories within the Thomas Graham Building with works comprising of removing existing layouts and forming new lab and office areas with upgrades to mechanical & electrical services.The Contractor will be responsible for completing the Works relevant to the project and based on the Specification. Inclusive of this project is a 12-month defects liability period. SPD (Scotland) Question 4B.5: Insurance RequirementsIt is a requirement that the Tenderer hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below;SPD (Scotland) Question 4B.5.1aProfessional Risk Indemnity: maintain a minimum indemnity limit of GBP 2 million in respect of each claim, and without limit to the number of claims.SPD (Scotland) Question 4B.5.1bEmployer's (Compulsory) Liability: maintain a minimum indemnity limit of GBP 10 million in respect of each claim, and without limit to the number of claims.SPD (Scotland) Question 4B.5.2Public Liability:maintain a minimum indemnity limit of GBP 10 million in respect of each claim, and without limit to the number of claims.Product Liability: maintain a minimum indemnity limit of GBP 10 million in the aggregate.Contractors' All Risk: Contract Value + 15%.Motor Vehicle Insurance: maintain a minimum indemnity limit of GBP 5 million for Property Damage, and unlimited in respect of Third Party Injury.
