Tender description

This project aims to: • Identify any themes, trends, or patterns for parents who decline NBS screening for their babies. The highest decline rates have been amongst the ‘movers in’ population (‘movers in’ are babies who have either changed Integrated Care Board (ICB) or have moved in from another home nation or abroad). Babies who move into England are at risk of delayed or missed screening. • Gain an insight into reasons why parents decline NBS and insight from health professionals offering the test. • Improve the knowledge and confidence of health professionals offering and taking the sample to increase the uptake rates for targeted groups living in deprived areas identified by the data. • Host a minimum of 6 training sessions delivered by experts either virtually, face to face or a combination of both. • The production of a resource for use after the events, for reference and as an asset to keep the momentum going for new health professionals and a refresher for existing staff.
