The Cycle to Work Scheme is a ‘salary sacrifice scheme’, where an employee exchanges part of their salary for a bicycle before tax and national insurance is applied. The scheme was introduced to inspire healthy living and to meet Net Zero targets. The scheme has been running for a number of years within NHS Highland (NHSH) and there’s been an increase in staff using the scheme. NHSH wishes to continue to provide this service to its employees.
