3rd Sector Supported Volunteering Programme

Tender description

The programme will - - Address health inequalities and social mobility by aligning with the Marmot Place framework, by showcasing and marketing the programme within early learning centres for parents wishing to volunteer to retrain and return to the workforce. - Increase access to volunteering opportunities for individuals engaged in AspireWorks, Supported Employment, Gateway to Employment, Making it Work, and Supporting Families programmes, with the referrals from these programmes being volunteer ready. - Develop a sustainable third-sector volunteering infrastructure, strengthening links with Council Employability Teams, HSCP, and community organisations. - Support individuals into employment or training by providing structured, goal-oriented volunteering placements. - Improve workforce participation and economic inclusion across South Lanarkshire. Lot 1: Following engagement with VASLan, the South Lanarkshire Local Employability Partnership and local third sector organisations a plan has been agreed which combines the most successful elements of the programme to provide supported, employability-focused volunteering placements to VASLan local 3rd sector member organisations who will receive financial support for each participant.
