EST_MW - Construction of a 3-storey office block extension at Cancer Care building UHL Campus

Tender description

The development consists of the removal of existing prefabs and the construction of a 3-storey office block extension and associated site works to serve the existing Cancer Care building at the University Hospital Limerick. This project aims to replace the existing prefabs with new permanent office space. The development will not result in the increase of existing staff. The ground floor will connect to the existing building via a link corridor and also provide access to the main hospital through to the existing corridor to the north. The extension will feature a Meeting Room, Staff Canteen, and three offices on the ground floor, with additional offices of varying sizes on the upper floors. Each floor will include male, female, and accessible restrooms. A stairwell and lift will ensure access to all floors, including the rooftop plant room. Existing parking numbers will be retained by way of reconfigured linemarking on the site. Bicycle parking will be provided on the campus with staff shower service and locker facilities already provided in the existing Cancer Care building. The works will include the retention of 6 existing parking spaces. The works also comprises of Civil Engineering proposal including Suds proposals and an external lighting proposal. GFA of new works 697m2; GFA of demolition 98m2.
