Tender description

This Invitation to Tender (ITT) has been prepared by ECMWF and is expected to result in the setting up of a framework contract with an estimated 5 to 10 suppliers, with the ultimate purpose of securing the best value for money in the provision of IT server equipment and related support services. The initial framework will be for four years with the possibility of extension for a further two years. Alongside this ITT the first Initial Purchase will be competed. The contract(s) for the Initial Purchase will be awarded to the Tenderer(s) which have passed the criteria for inclusion onto the Framework and quoted the lowest price(s) for the items in listed in Annex 2 (Initial Purchase) of Volume II (Specification of Requirements). Portal instructions: Some of the ITT documents are accessible under the ‘Attachments’ box at bottom right of this page. The full set of ITT documents which are provided inside the response questionnaire are only accessible by registering an interest in this opportunity (see the 'Expression of interest window' at top right). Please refer initially to the ‘ECMWF eProcurement Portal Guidance for suppliers’ file in the Attachments box as this document will help you navigate the portal and locate the necessary information in order to submit a proposal. Please note that the contact email address shown under 'Contact details' is not monitored, and any messages sent to this email address will not be attended to. Questions / clarifications concerning this ITT must be submitted via the Messaging area of the ITT, which can be accessed through the My Activities page of the Portal once you have logged-in and registered your interest in this opportunity. ECMWF has been made aware that in the process of responding to its procurement exercises, suppliers are prompted by the Proactis eProcurement Portal to register on the UK Central Digital Platform (CDP) and provide related Supplier Information. ECMWF is an intergovernmental organisation which follows its own procurement rules and procedures. While these procedures adhere to internationally recognised procurement principles and practices, they are different from the UK or EU public procurement acts, regimes or regulations. We can therefore confirm that ECMWF does not require suppliers to be registered on the UK Central Digital Platform (CDP) nor provide any information in relation to this when responding to any of the procurement exercises conducted by ECMWF via the Proactis eProcurement Portal. When completing the 'Central Digital Platform (CDP) - Supplier Information' section on Your response summary page, please check the box to confirm that the necessary documentation has been provided as part of the 'Response documentation, files & links' section.
