AT1259 Provision of Luton Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure project CONCESSION (The LEVI Project)

Tender description

Further to some market engagement in May 2024 DN726184 Luton Council is undertaking a CCR16 compliant ' Concession ' procurement , a tender for its requirements of the Provision of a Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure project (LEVI project). The council has been allocated £1.273m Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding from The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) to develop the public electric vehicle charging network in Luton through partnership working with chargepoint operators (CPO). The funding will be used to accelerate the commercialisation and investment in Luton’s public EV charging network through collaboration with the industry. The project aims to increase the number of public EV chargepoints across the town, bringing the total number to more than 600 accessible public charging sockets by 2030. These will be predominantly lower power devices (up to 8kW) in locations that best serve residents without access to off-street parking.
