Tender description

The proposed procurement will enable the Council to appoint a single contractor to carry out essential works for the flat roof renewal (Phase 2) and the installation of fall arrest equipment at Elizabeth Selby Infants School. The project specification is based on a warm roof construction, with the principal thermal insulation installed above the structural deck. The existing waterproofing system will be fully stripped and replaced. To mitigate the risk of water ingress during the works, the rate of removal must not exceed what can be safely re-waterproofed within the same working day. All work must be completed within the designated summer holiday window, currently scheduled from Friday 25th July to Friday 29th August. Weekend work may be considered, subject to prior agreement with the client, to ensure timely completion. The procurement of the required works will be awarded to Amber Construction Services via Direct Award through the LHC Framework, specifically LHC RS5M Framework (Lot 1 – Traditional Flat Roofing). This approach ensures compliance with regulations while securing access to prequalified contractors with a proven track record in delivering high-quality flat roof refurbishment and replacement works.
