Tender description

CIÉ is the national statutory authority that provides land public transport services in Ireland. It is wholly owned by the Government of Ireland and is organised into a Holding Company (“HC”), which provides some shared services, including group risk reporting, to the three Operating Companies (“Op Cos”): Bus Átha Cliath (“BAC” or “Dublin Bus”), Bus Éireann (“BE”) and Iarnród Éireann (“IE” or “Irish Rail”). As a state body it is subject to the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies to ensure that it meets the highest standards of risk management through alignment with the principles of ISO 31000.
