Development which will include material alterations to an existing single storey Health Centre, including outhouse and water storage tank area, and change of use from Health Centre to an Ambulance Base serving the wider Connemara area. The refurbishment works will include fabric and energy upgrades to the building. They will further include minor localised internal amendments to the floor plan to provide for the accommodation requirements of the Ambulance Base. This accommodation will include the provision of an Office/ Radio Room, Kitchenette, Universally Accessible WC, Locker/ Changing Room, Seating Area and ancillary storage facilities. Associated site works will also include an upgrade to the on-site Wastewater Treatment Plant with the inclusion of a tertiary treatment system and polishing filter, the provision of a single storey ancillary building, upgrades to the existing foul water and stormwater collection systems. Other associated site works will include 2 number bays for ambulance parking, 2 number car parking spaces and footpaths, ramps and steps to serve the requirements of the building, including universal accessibility.
