Service and Maintenance of Technical Equipment and Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems throughout North Ayrshire

North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) invites tenders for the provision of Service and Maintenance of Technical Equipment and Local Exhaust Ventilation (“LEV”) Systems throughout North Ayrshire. The new contract will be required to commence on 11th August 2025 for a period of 3 years, expiring on 10th August 2028 with the option to extend by up to twenty-four months. Extensions will be at the sole discretion of NAC and subject to satisfactory performance and funding. Lot 1: NAC requires a contractor to undertake annual full testing and servicing of woodwork and metalwork technical machines and LEV systems and thorough testing to technical and art department equipment contained within eight of its establishments – all located throughout North Ayrshire. The 8 properties are comprised of six academies, one assisted additional support needs school and NAC’s building services depot. Technical equipment is located within the technical departments of the academies and schools alongside LEV systems. The academies also have LEV systems within the art department. The building services depot includes a LEV system only. All properties will be occupied throughout the life of the contract. Remedial/repair work may also be required throughout the contract and must also include full reports for each system. At each property the contractor will carry out a full-service inspection and clean on all woodworking / metalworking machinery, the centralised wood dust vacuum system and all hot work equipment. This contract is required as per statutory maintenance requirements.
