Tender description
Adult Education training provision that is accessible to all West Yorkshire residents. These contracts will deliver training provision that responds to individuals as set out in the West Yorkshire AEB Funding and Performance Management Rules and will encompass all eligible provision delivered as part of the statutory and policy entitlements, as well as regulated and non-regulated learning. Provision should respond to local need, emerging priorities and sector skills shortages, and take account of the spread of provision required in each Local Authority area. Contracts can be delivered West Yorkshire wide or can be focused on individual/multiple Local Authority areas, allowing eligible West Yorkshire residents to access provision locally. The provider must ensure accessibility of learning is considered in their proposals, taking into account reasonable travel to learn patterns. Bids should evidence how they will avoid duplication and address potential cold spots where provision is not currently available. Providers should be able to provide access to skills from entry level up to Level 3, including: • Delivering legal entitlements; • Supporting the unemployed to progress into ‘good’ jobs; • Supporting in-work progression of those on low wages; • Upskilling employed adults to progress in the workplace ; • Learning and Learner Support. Delivery method should be appropriate to ensure greatest reach, achievement and impact. Lot 103673: Lot 1- Skills For Life Provision description: Provision of the following programmes, focused on individuals that legitimately fit the eligibility criteria: English Maths Digital Learner aged 19+ studying for a first qualification at Level 2 and/or Level 3 (in line With West Yorkshire Extended entitlement and local flexibility – see below) ESOL Provision (while ESOL is not a legal entitlement, it is recognised as a crucial provision for West Yorkshire residents)Please submit a separate tender response for each Lot you are bidding for Lot 103674: Lot 2- Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) Provision description: The Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) is designed to help Jobcentre Plus claimants build confidence to improve their job prospects and enhance their CV, whilst helping employers in sectors with current local vacancies to fill them. Bidders must submit a separate response for each Lot they are bidding for
