Tender description

The project is for repair work to the parapets to Roof 1 and Courtyards 1, 2 and 3 of Parliament Buildings which comprises removal of defective handrails, the replacement of the damaged Portland Stonework and the provision of new ballasted handrails. Scope of works is; Section 1 will comprise of: Removal of the existing defective handrails, replacement of approximately 50 metres of Portland Stone parapet, 500mm high by 375mm wide, to Roof 1 and provision of a new ballasted handrail. Removal of the existing defective handrails, replacement of approximately 40 metres of Portland Stone parapet, 300mm high by 500mm wide, to Courtyard 3 and provision of a new ballasted handrail. Section 2 will comprise of: Removal of an existing defective handrail, replacement of approximately 80 metres of Portland Stone parapet, 300mm high by 500mm wide, to Courtyards 1 and 2 and provision of a new ballasted handrail.
