Tender description

Cork Education and Training Board invites you to submit a tender for carrying out a pre-refurbishment demolitions asbestos survey at the schools set out in this tender pack. Schools represent a significant opportunity for building energy works with the additional benefit of their high visibility in communities which has potential additional demonstrator and awareness value. Financial provision has been made in the National Development Plan for funding support for the refurbishment of schools including energy retrofit. To prepare the way for this largescale energy retrofit work, a Pathfinder Partnership Programme has been put in place between the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland and the Department of Education and Youth The Pathfinder Partnership Programmes focus on supporting energy efficiency and decarbonisation building retrofit in the Primary and Post Primary Schools. These include energy retrofit improvements for the buildings, test approaches, build best practice and develop a scalable energy retrofit model which can be replicated across the public sector.
