Tender description

Former site is currently warehouses and offices and used for the manufacturing of garden machinery, including lawnmowers. Warehouses range from 8 to 10 metres in height. Combination of two storey and single storey buildings. This work will include the safe removal of a small quantity of asbestos that could not be removed during the enabling ACM removal works due to its location at the base of the fixed frame of the roller shutter doors and mains incoming electrical supply switch. These minor phase 2 ACM removal works will need to be undertaken as part of the safe demolition and site clearance Works will consist of demolition of all but one warehouse (located toward the southeast of the site) and creation of hard standing areas/parking. The current plan is to redevelop and retain one of the existing buildings and make improvements to the site. The external cladding will be largely retained; however, some areas will need to be removed to allow for the new roller shutters and windows.
