Provision of Dental Orthodontic Handpieces for the new children's hospital, Dublin 8

Tender description

We are seeking a range of Dental and Orthodontic Handpieces for Children's Health Ireland (CHI). The Paediatric dentists and orthodontists perform a wide variety of treatments, restorative and orthodontic care for patients who have complex medical issues and may not be suited to receiving such care in a community setting. Patients range in age from 0 to 16 and may be averse to medical or dental care or have sensory processing difficulties, so patient comfort is foremost in terms of equipment size, noise levels, and appearance. The CHI paediatric dentistry and orthodontic services require handpieces that are as streamlined as possible for small mouths or craniofacial conditions that restrict jaw opening and patients with acute medical needs where minimising trauma to oral tissues is imperative. Handpieces required are grouped into seven Lots, and Tenderers may apply for one, several or for all lots, as follows: Lot A Turbine (approx quantity 50); Lot B Dental Mini Trubine (approx 9); Lot C Contra Angle - Electric , Speed increasing and Speed reducing (combined total approx 120); Lot D Straight Handpiece (approx 26); Lot E Air Powered Tooth Polisher (approx 9); Lot F Biofilm Eraser (approx 4); Lot G Handpiece Oiler (approx 1). As the aesthetics of the proposed solutions are important, tender evalaution will include product sampling. It is envisaged a maximum of three per Lot (if three meet all mandatory and qualitative requirements) will be invited to present samples of the product(s) tendered to the Procurement Evaluation Group in Dublin (venue TBC), approximately two weeks after the tender closing date.
