Request for Tender for the Provision of Crane Hire Services at Medite Europe DAC (Lot 1) and SmartPly Europe DAC (Lot 2) ’25

Tender description

Medite SmartPly are seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified crane hire companies. This service should be in accordance with the attached specification and certification requirements where applicable at both their sites at Medite Europe DAC, Redmondstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, E91V584 and at SmartPly Europe DAC, Bellview, Slieverue, Waterford, X91PX75. The quantities specified in the annual usage document will be subjected to fluctuate due to unscheduled down days etc., during the duration of the contract. The framework will be in place for 5 years and it’s proposed that a maximum of 5 companies will be added to the framework. The minimum number will be 2-3 depending on the response rate. There will be specific conditions attached to those candidates added to the framework. MS will endeavour to give all candidates on the framework guaranteed work, however this will be discussed with successful candidate at the time of award. Please find the specification for each site required below: Lot 1 - MEDITE EUROPE DAC Crane Hire Service Requirements will include the following: • Crawler crane 3-ton (example UNIC URW-295-3) • City crane 30 ton (example Demag AC 30) • Crane 60 ton (example Faun ATF 60-3) • Crane 80 ton (example Demag AC80-2) • crane 100 ton (example Demag AC 100-4L) • Crane 120 ton (example Demag AC 120-1) • Crane 220 ton (example Demag AC 220-5) All cranes with lifting plans and certification and an Appointed person need to be supplied with each hire. A certified man basket will be required from time to time. Other equipment: • Hiab truck 24-ton with driver • 360 teleporters with winch (example Manitou MRT 2550) with driver **All Equipment to be supplied with drivers, lifting plans, and certification.** Lot 2 - SMARTPLY EUROPE DAC Crane Hire Service Requirements will include the following: • Crawler crane 3-ton (example UNIC URW-295-3) • City crane 30 ton (example Demag AC 30) • Crane 60 ton (example Faun ATF 60-3) • Crane 80 ton (example Demag AC80-2) • crane 100 ton (example Demag AC 100-4L) • Crane 120 ton (example Demag AC 120-1) • Crane 220 ton (example Demag AC 220-5) • Crane 300 ton All cranes with lifting plans and certification and an Appointed person need to be supplied with each hire. A certified man basket will be required from time to time. Other equipment: • Hiab truck 24-ton with driver • 360 teleporters with winch (example Manitou MRT 2550) with driver **All Equipment to be supplied with drivers, lifting plans, and certification.** Working Hours - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm. Friday 8am to 3.30pm Scheduling of these works should be identified in the bidder’s capability in arranging the service and delivery of the crane within these working hours. Emergency Support In the event of an emergency, we would expect support within a short notice period within normal working hours (i.e., within 3 working hours). Framework Duration The Framework Agreement will be established for a period of four (4) years with the option to extend for a period of up to one (1) year at the sole discretion of Medite SmartPly, for a total term of up to five (5) years.
