Grant - Heworth Without Ward and Heworth Ward Wraparound Childcare Grant Application Process

The Authority wishes to lease the former Hempland Kids Club Building, Bad Bargain Lane, Burnholme, York, North Yorkshire, YO31 0LW to a childcare provider and to award a grant to deliver 55 wraparound childcare places (after school and holiday provision), primarily to primary aged children from Hempland Primary School, to meet parental demand that has been left unmet following to closure of a previous provider in July 2024. The applicant should also consider whether some of these places may be made available to Applefields Secondary School for their year 7 pupils whose families may require access to wraparound childcare.
