LB Waltham Forest Door Knocking Exercise 2025

Tender description

Supply of door knocking for the London Borough of Waltham Forest for the change from weekly to fortnightly black refuse bin collections beginning in March 2025. The purpose for the door knocking exercise is; 1. To explain to residents about the change to fortnightly collections for kerbside properties (two-wheeled bins) 2. To advise residents on how to check their collection day - some, not all, will experience a collection day change 3. Encourage residents to recycle more to ensure their black refuse bin does not get full; advise residents that 85% of all waste can be recycled 4. To promote knowledge and understanding of the recycling services by the Authority and how to avoid contamination 5. To explain to residents about the food waste collection service, ensure residents received the food waste caddy and information about the new service, ensure uptake and a high participation with the service, minimise any contamination and maximise food waste tonnages 6. To advise residents of how to apply for a larger black refuse bin (240L) if they live in a household of over 6 people or have a medical need Keywords: Door-knocking, Engagement, Recycling
