Tender description

The project is seeking a contractor who is highly skilled in undertaking ecological surveys to determine the suitability of mainland sites for the potential release of Uist hedgehogs. Lot 1: The contractor will: Undertake a desk-based assessment on ten sites identified by the Project Working Group to determine habitat suitability and likely presence of an existing hedgehog population. The contractor will advise the Working Group of the most viable sites for hedgehog suitability (up to 6). Undertake site visits to ground truth up to six sites, detailing baseline data/habitat suitability and confirming absence/presence of existing hedgehog population (preferably using contractors existing trail cameras). Produce a report detailing methodology, assessment and findings to the above.
