Tender description

sportscotland is seeking for a GIS system to provide a visual representation of where people take part in sport and demographics of local communities. This will allow those in the sporting system to identify gaps easily and map other datasets which provide an understanding of populations and local communities. sportscotland would aim to take a phased approach, with phase one creating the base layers with sportscotland data and other public datasets e.g. SIMD. The second phase would create a bespoke GIS solution for each partner allowing them to add their own data. sportscotland recognises that any system is dependent on whether data is shared by partners, and its quality.
