Advice and equipment service for people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have dual sensory loss’

Tender description

Cumberland Council commissions a service for people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or with dual sensory loss, and we are looking to recommission it to start on 1 September 2025. The service will have four main elements: • Information, advice and guidance (IAG) • Care Act needs assessments • Equipment • Prevention and deaf awareness. The service will be open to all adults (and children in transition from children’s services to adult social care aged 16-17) who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or with dual sensory loss, and resident in Cumberland. Equipment will only be provided to people with Care Act eligible needs.
