Islington Council is seeking expressions of interest from qualified providers to deliver a bespoke Early Help Mentoring Service for children aged 5-11. This service will focus on intensive mentoring for children with behavioural difficulties, aiming to improve educational attendance, attainment, and reduce school suspensions or exclusions. Service Objectives: Provide targeted mentoring to children at risk of poor educational outcomes. Engage with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, reflecting Islington’s population. Support children looked after by Islington Council or living in Islington. Referral Sources: Primarily from primary schools. Additional referrals from other agencies supporting children and families. Requirements: Proven experience in delivering mentoring services for children. Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated and safe children and family’s framework. Capacity to lever in additional resources to expand the service over the life of the contract. Commitment to achieving positive educational and behavioural outcomes.
