NAC/5196 Core/Material Testing and Sampling

Tender description

North Ayrshire Council (NAC) are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to provide core/material testing and sampling. Lot 1: NAC requires a service provider to test materials during the asphalt surface course laying process for various carriageway resurfacing schemes throughout North Ayrshire. The extent of testing which will be required is as follows: -Sampling of bituminous material grading and binder content. -On-site testing and monitoring including chipping spread trays, material temperatures and rolling straight edge. -Texture depths At various locations extract 150mm cores to the full depth of the bituminous carriageway construction. Core holes to be reinstated with an accredited cold set bituminous repair material. Traffic management, stop and go or traffic lights will be required and must be provided by the contractor.
