EST SW: Novated Structural Steel Work Tender for the 30-Bed Ward Expansion at University Hospital Kerry

Tender description

The project is located at University Hospital Kerry (UHK) it includes a 30-bed ward expansion on the roof of the existing hospital and relocation of existing plant to allow construction of the new ward. The 30-Bed Ward will be constructed in two (2) phases, Phase 1A and Phase 1B. Phase 1A will be a new 7-Bed Inpatient Ward to be completed by the Q4 2025. Phase 1B will be a 23-Bed Inpatient Ward to be completed by the Q3 2026. Enabling works commencing in Q3 2025 will precede the steelwork package and the main contract works. The gross floor area is 2320m². Outlined below is a list of key elements. - Vertical expansion to existing building to accommodate for a new 30-Bed Ward. - Connecting to existing structure. - Relocation of existing plant area to roof of new 30-Bed Ward. - New external cladding of the façade to align with existing. - New stair core from L1 to L2. - New external substation. - New water attenuation pond. - Works carried out within a live 24-hour 7-days a week, acute hospital campus, where key critical clinical services and facilities will remain operational through construction phase.
