Tender description

Mangerton Bridge The Works shall consist of the scope of works shown on the drawings and specifications including: • Site set-up and Traffic management; • Site clearance and security; • Removal of vegetation on approach walls, deck, and parapets; • Removal of all grout begs and loose masonry stones and replacement with stonework; • Demolition of destabilised section of abutment with temporary works in place; • Reconstruction of a section of abutment; • Cleaning and repointing of all masonry joints that show degradation using a suitable lime-based mortar; • Cleaning and repointing of downstream wing wall; • Repair of damaged parapet to match existing; • Removal of soft verges and replacement with concrete rubbing strips; • Act as PSCS for the construction works. Glanlea Bridge The Works shall consist of the scope of works shown on the drawings and specifications including: • Site set-up and Traffic management; • Site clearance and security; • Removal of vegetation on approach walls, deck, and parapets; • Demolition and disposal of existing parapets; • Construction of a new reinforced concrete deck, this deck must be COMPLETED within 3 day road closure to allow for Milk Collection. • Resurfacing of the new deck; • Construction of new parapets; • Demolition of the overhanging concrete lined riverbed; • Installation of rock armour/ riprap lining on riverbed; • Minor scour repairs to the piers and abutments; • Installation of rock armour backed in lean mix concrete to the embankment; • Act as PSCS for the construction works. Craughdarrig Bridge The Works shall consist of the scope of works shown on the drawings and specifications including: • Site set-up and Traffic management; • Site clearance and security; • Removal of vegetation on approach walls, deck, and parapets; • Excavation and removal of existing clappers and replacement with cast in-situ concrete slab; • Resurfacing of the new deck; • Repair and replacement of missing stonework on abutments; • Construction of 1m high stone masonry parapets; • Construction of riverbed lining using rock matching existing; • Removal of soft verges and replacement with concrete rubbing strips; • Act as PSCS for the construction works.
