The University of Strathclyde requires a package of training courses focused on project management, tailored for postgraduate researchers Lot 2: Confident Communications - Confident Communications: General presentation; Poster presentation; Grant writing; Public engagement; 3MT preparation; Viva preparation; Your voice - social media, elevator pitch Lot 3: Thriving in Your Research - Thriving in Your Research: Time management; TM for part-time; Networking; Understanding UK HE landscape (incl. finance/funding); Entrepreneurship; Data Management Plans; Imposter syndrome; Supervisor relationship; Resilience Lot 4: Culture, Ethics and Community - Culture, Ethics and Community: Research integrity & ethics; 'Wellness' series; Collaborative/interdisciplinary working; Leadership & team building; Sustainability; Data sharing/open access Lot 1: Effective Writing The University of Strathclyde requires a package of training courses focused on project management, tailored for postgraduate researchers, that cover the following topics: - Effective Writing: Writing & presenting; Your voice in academic writing; Understanding and undertaking literature review; Editing; Data visualisation; Thesis writing; Writing for/publishing in academic journals - STEM; Writing for/publishing in academic journals - HaSSB Courses will: - be a blended format of online – and in-person on the University of Strathclyde campus; - be held at least twice during the period October-May, inclusive, depending on participant demand; be held on dates agreed prior to October each year; - be delivered by trainers with experience delivering practical training in the Higher Education sector, with a breadth of knowledge from a range of disciplines and sectors; - use a blended format of course materials, and individual and group-based activities; - use practical exercises to reinforce and enhance the skills learned. - the University of Strathclyde will provide suitable space for in-person courses, refreshment for participants, and printing of materials.
