TC01382 - Replacement Air Handling Units - Ferry Terminal - Harwich International Port

Tender description

The Port has a requirement to replace air handling units to Ferry Terminal at Harwich International Port. The Ferry Terminal is a two-storey building that handles foot passengers that embark and disembark the ferries. It fronts onto the station platform at Harwich International Station on the south elevation and adjoins operational areas on the north elevation. This project is for the replacement of two existing Traine packaged air handling units located on the roof that serve the Baggage Hall (ground floor) and Departure Lounge (first floor). The Works will include (1) the decommissioning, removal and disposal of the existing air handling units and (2) the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the new air handling units. It is anticipated that the replacement air handling system will utilise the existing system support frame and connect to the existing ducting and services. This shall include all builders works and all making good and reinstatement of surfaces disturbed. The Contractor will be responsible for the safe management and co-ordination of the works, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and legislation. The indoor units will be installed as per the specification and drawings along with all associated pipework and drainage pipes. Pressurisation of the system will then commence with the testing and leak tests carried out. The contractor will be required to undertake commissioning and demonstrations of the systems ensure controls are satisfactory. Please see attached roof plan for information.
