The Policy Profession, part of the civil service, is in the process of a procurement for a new website hosting, maintenance and support contract. Please read the below brief and submit a response. About the Policy Profession Unit The Policy Profession Unit (PPU) supports the UK Civil Service Policy Profession. It is funded by UK government departments to support them to continuously improve how public policy is developed and delivered.  PPU supports the leadership of the Policy Profession to build capability of individual policy makers and improve policy making systems across government.  It does this through a wide-ranging offer including:   • accredited qualifications  • careers management  • knowledge sharing events  • profession standards  • transformation of the policy making process  PPU delivers in collaboration with a wide range of partners including government departments, other government professions, public bodies, academia and other governments from around the world.  Current website The Policy Profession website (https://www.policyprofession.civilservice.gov.uk/) is a closed site for civil servants, which is hosted, maintained and developed by a digital agency who have held the contract for three years. The contract is now set to expire, therefore; in keeping with government Public Procurement Regulations, we are running a non-competitive G-Cloud procurement to determine a new contract and a developer who will maintain and host the site, as well as move it forward. Needs from developer The successful developer must be able to maintain and develop existing and new functionality on the Umbraco platform. This should include hosting the site, performance checks, updates and allocated monthly support time. The Policy Profession website is currently run on the 7.15.1 version of Umbraco.
