Best Interest Assessor - Post Graduate Qualification

This training is required to ensure that Adult Social Care is able to fulfil statutory and mandatory requirements under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Due to changes following the Transformation Programme a need to increase capacity and the number of qualified best interest assessors has been identfied. This is specialist training which is only delivered by a small number of accredited providers. I have approached the three providers for the region and due to capacity, only Bond Solon is able to meet our requirement in terms of availability, the other providers are unable to offer places on their scheduled programmes, and are unable to deliver "in-house" to our staff group. The cost of the training is comparable across all three providers.
