Additional kennelling facilities for stray dogs

Tender description

We are experiencing a higher than usual demand for stray dog collections, partly connected to the numbers of XL bully dogs that are being abandoned. Our contract kennels also provide services for other local authorities facing the same challenges and as a result they are often struggling for space and cannot take our stays. Additional overflow dog kennelling facilities are required as we are currently not able to collect dogs as our kennels are full and we have a statutory responsibility to collect and kennel stray dogs. The supplier above already offers an overflow facility to another local authority and has indicted he would be able to take Bedford strays as and when necessary.
