Tender description

Sprowston Town Council is a Local (parish) Council on the outskirts of Norwich, Norfolk, England. We have almost 14,000 registered electors living within our boundary. With our existing contract for insurance expiring on 31st March 2024, we are seeking an established insurer to provide appropriate insurance cover and/or liability cover for us from 1st April 2024. Prospective insurance providers must be able to cover all of our activities, assets, staff, Councillors and service users as appropriate. The Town Council is both an employer and a direct provider of services and facilities to the public. A three-year insurance contract (1st April 2024 to 31st Match 2027) is preferable, but shorter periods of cover may be considered. To assist interested insurance providers, this Notice includes: 1). A copy of our current insurance policy schedule (provided by Zurich Municipal). 2). A list of our current play areas and equipment 3). A list of claims made in the last 5 years A list of our minimum required cover follows: - Material damage (including buildings insurance; contents insurance; loss of rent - see current policy schedule for a breakdown of cover and amounts) - Business interruption (£195,000 minimum) - All Risks (See current policy schedule for a breakdown of cover and amounts) - Money - Public Liability (£15,000,000 minimum any one event) - Products Liability - Pollution Liability - Official's Indemnity (if not included in Public Liability) (£10,000,000 minimum) - Hirers' Liability - Employers Liability (£10,000,000 minimum) - Libel and Slander - Motor Vehicles (Comprehensive) - Motor Legal Expenses and Uninsured Loss Recovery - Inspection Contract (annual safety Inspection of all play equipment) - Fidelity Guarantee (£2,000,000 minimum) - Personal Accident - Legal Expenses In addition to the above, the successful provider will be able to: - In principle; provide Work in Progress cover for a £1.6M refurbishment project currently underway at one of our buildings. - At a reasonable cost; add cover for any additional buildings, assets, land, public open spaces or staff gained during the course of the insured period. Submissions (applications) should be emailed to townclerk@sprowston-tc.gov.uk and must include: 1) Fully itemised quotation 2) Policy schedule detailing the cover granted, any exclusions, limitations, excesses and any other information pertinent to the policy. Closing date for submission is 4.00pm Wednesday 13th March 2024. Submissions received after this date may be deemed ineligible for consideration. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of Quality and Price. The Town Council reserves the right to request further information or clarification from applicants before or after the closing date.
