GB-UK: OPA/T610 OFD Garelochhead Inspection of Tank 8

Tender description

The OPA have identified a requirement to re-inspect the storage Tank 8 at OFD Garelochhead. Tank 8 is a semi-buried, welded mild steel storage tank with a concrete roof supported by internal steel columns. The tank was designed and manufactured to a historic NATO specification, which borrowed elements from BS2654. The tank bottom and lower shell course is lined with an aged thick GRE liner. In addition to the usual tank inspection scope in line with OPA-ST-5101, EEMUA159/API653, for this scope of work the contractor will also be required to use the best technologies available to reliably scan through the GRE lining to inspect as much as possible. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
