Cornwall Growth Strategy

Tender description

Cornwall Council seeks to develop a Cornwall Growth Strategy that will drive and inform our approach to economic development and regeneration. It will involve using existing economic data and our existing strategic plans to build a cohesive local evidence base and strategy that identifies local strengths and challenges, identifying future opportunities and the actions needed to support priority sectors, and embedding these in the range of Cornwall Council policies and strategies which influence economic activity in Cornwall e.g. the new Local Plan (Planning), Local Transport Decarbonisation Plan (Transport), Housing and Environmental Growth. It will also articulate how Cornwall's priorities sit within the national context, how they align and contribute to the Government's levelling up missions, our Net Zero Carbon ambitions and other relevant policy positions.\r \r This commission is seeking an appropriately qualified external organisation to support Cornwall Council in this endeavour, providing specialist expertise and independence which can build on the body of work to date and augment the constrained capacity within the Directorate.\r \r You can search for the opportunity on Supplying the Southwest www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk
