Coastal Designations in the Vale of Glamorgan

Tender description

1. To review, at a UK level, custom and practice in designating coastal Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation as part of the objective to protect and enhance biodiversity. 2. To devise and/or strengthen existing SINC criteria for coastal SINC’s with a view to adoption within the Vale of Glamorgan and potentially in the rest of coastal Wales. 3. To review existing data for both habitats and species to identify candidate coastal SINC’s that meet the criteria outlined in 2 above and to recommend areas for future surveys where data is insufficient or out of date.
