Tender description

It is proposed to restore a 96 hectare area of blanket bog on Wemyss & March Estate. The work will involve a mixture of peat hag re-profiling (13,810 m) and construction of peat or mineral soil baffles to deflect water away from the base of re-profiled peat hags. 625 metres of ditches will also require blocking with peat dams. It is proposed to restore an area of actively eroding blanket bog on Winterhope Farm in the Scottish Borders. The site is part of Wemyss & March estate and will be Phase 5 of a multi- phased project carried out on the estate.
