Tender description

The aim of this research is to use quantitative methods to develop our understanding of the population of doctors joining/not joining UK medical practice from abroad and their migration journeys. This will include why doctors migrate or do not migrate to the UK, the reasons/motivations that draw overseas doctors to join UK practice and what stops/demotivates others from joining despite taking active steps to do so. The findings from this research should help the GMC and our partners to identify the areas of the global market for doctors where the UK has the greatest and least competitive advantage.
