PH047- This service requires a specialist substance misuse database system with a comprehensive prescribing module. The module will provide the function to create prescriptions for a range of drugs, meeting guideline requirements for valid prescription format. It will be required to create prescriptions for maintenance, titration, and reduction prescriptions, with robust functions to prevent human error in the creation of prescriptions including the generation of medication collection dates based on identified collection regime and duration. It will need to batch prescribe for whole cohorts of people for specified date ranges. It will be required to modify prescription dates and collection regimes to take into account bank holidays and pharmacy opening times.
