Footways Programme, Swindon 2024 - DN712713 Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of reconstructive works and slurry sealing across sections of footways in Swindon which have been identified as in need of essential maintenance as detailed in the respective specification and drawings (including the provision of all necessary pedestrian management & access and egress requirements to complete the works). Project Description Swindon Borough Council have identified areas in the Borough in need of essential footways maintenance in the form of reconstructive works and slurry sealing along sections of the footways in the town. The works for delivery are fully detailed within the tender documentation package. The reconstruction works (and associated pre-works) for the package will include: • Footways Reconstruction & Slurry Seal • Weed Removal, sidings and cleaning of footways • Cleaning of gullies, channel blocks, ACO channels after completion • Edging and kerb repairs (including realignment or replacement where necessary) • Adjustment of ironwork where necessary • Sweeping of all footways, driveways and pedestrian areas arising from the surfacing operations • Provision of suitable pedestrian management proposals and on site (including necessary associated advance signage and diversions) to accommodate the work within constraints outlined within the tender documentation as per agreements with SBC Streetworks. • Letter drop to affected residents and business. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents. Contract Period The initial contract term will be for 12 weeks as stated in the ITT documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents.
